Personal data are processed by the Law Firm for purposes resulting from legitimate interests pursued by the Law Firm, which they are:
- conclusion and performance of an agreement concluded by the client with the Law Firm - e.g. including providing legal advice, preparing legal opinions, representing the Law Firm's clients before courts, public administration bodies, third parties and taking action at the request of the person to whom the data relate,
- fulfilling legal obligations incumbent on the Law Firm - e.g. including the obligation to provide personal data of the parties to proceedings at individual procedural, judicial, administrative and legal actions and other actions carried out by the Law Firm, as well as asserting or securing the Law Firm's claims,
- providing the client with up-to-date information on the status of conducted cases, which is necessary and intentional activities related to the provided legal services, information concerning the Law Firm, e.g. on the basis of a separate consent granted by the Client.
- What personal data are necessary?
The scope of processed personal data is justified by the subject of provided legal services and conducted court/administrative/out-of-court proceedings, the Law Firm collects data only necessary to conduct proper legal services.
- To whom are your data transferred?
The Law Firm transfers your data only to entities, bodies, third parties to whom the transfer of data is necessary in order to perform the contract concluded with the Client of the Law Firm, including partners providing legal services, translation services, notaries, experts, courts, bailiffs.
Personal data may also be transferred to courier companies handling correspondence, companies archiving documents, partners of the Law Firm providing accounting and technical services (maintenance and development of IT systems, maintenance of Internet services, maintenance of an e-mail server).
- How long does the Law Firm store your data?
Personal data processed in order to conclude or perform an agreement and to fulfil legal obligations of the Law Firm are stored for the period of performance of the agreement with the Client, and afterwards for the period in which the binding legal regulations require the storage of data.
- What rights do you have?
In connection with the processing of personal data by the Law Firm, you have the right to request:
- access to personal data concerning you, i.e. to obtain confirmation whether the Law Firm processes data and information concerning such processing,
- rectification of data if the data processed by the Law Firm are incorrect or incomplete,
- deletion of data, excluding data processed for the purposes related to the profession of legal counsel,
- restrictions on data processing,
- transfer of data, i.e. the right to receive personal data provided to the Registry
and send it to another data controller.
In addition, you are entitled to do so:
- the right to object to the processing of personal data,
- the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority or the supervisory authority of another Member State of the European Union competent for the place of habitual residence or work of the data subject or for the place of alleged FODO infringement,
- the right to withdraw consent to the processing of data at any time, with the exception of data processed for the purposes of legal counsel.
